Giant Largemouth caught in the California Delta

This Giant 14 lb largemouth was caught October 2009 by local fisherman John Ward while fishing for Delta Stripers. The bait he was using was the ever popular Lunker Punker. John Ward told us he had caught some big largemouths before on the bait but nothing this size.
Big largemouth being caught on the Punker has been a regular occurence for people fishing for the Delta Stripers. Patrick Pickerell also a local largemouth/Striper guru has caught recently a few large largemouths in 7-8lb range fishing in shallow water while fishing for Stripers.
