New Name for Shimmy Shad
Danville, California (December 1, 2010) – Black Dog Bait Co., the makers of the famous Lunker Punker and Shell Cracker, today have announced a change to the name of their latest soft-bodied jerk bait-style lure, the Shimmy Shad.
Due to potential copyright laws and trademark issues, the Shimmy Shad will now be called the Fake Fish. The Shimmy Shad was released to the public on November 24, 2010 and has already become a preferred bait in tackle boxes across America. Effective on December 1, 2010, the Shimmy Shad will officially be changed to the Fake Fish.
“This new name was on the back burners to be used on a new future bait,” said Grant Olguin, co-owner of Black Dog Bait Co. “What’s a better name for a bait than a rubber fish that looks real? It’s simple, yet it tells the whole story.”
